ARRIVE HASHIMARA  AND TRANSFER TO PHUNTSHILING AND OVER NIGHT AT PHUNTSHILING & STAY . BORDER TOWN OF BHUTAN.

AFTER PROCESSING PERMIT, STARTS THE JOURNEY TOWARDS THIMPU,THE CAPITAL TOWN OF BHUTAN AND THE CENTER OF GOVERNMENT, RELIGION AND COMMERCE. IT IS A UNIQUE CITY WITH UNUSUAL MIXTURE OF MODERN DEVELOPMENT ALONGSIDE ANCIENT TRADITIONS. EXPLORE THIMPU TO APPRECIATE THE BUDDHIST CULTURE, ETHNIC ARCHITECTURE OF THE DZONG AND PALACES, TRADITIONAL AND THE LIFESTYLE OF THE DRUKPAS IN THIS PEACEFUL HIMALAYAN KINGDOM AND OVER NIGHT THIMPU

IN THE MORNING AFTER BREAKFAST PROCEED TO PUNAKHA AFTER BREAKFAST WITH A STOP ENROOT FOR TEA AT DOCHULA PASS (3,100 METERS) WHERE YOU CAN GET SPECTACULAR VIEWS OF HIMALAYAS. ON THE WAY TO PUNAKHA, STOP AT MEHSINA VILLAGE. AFTERNOON, DRIVE TO PUNAKHA, THE FORMER CAPITAL OF BHUTAN, AND VISIT PUNAKHA DZONG, WHICH IS NOTEWORTHY BOTH FOR BEING ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DZONGS IN BHUTAN AND ALSO IT IS STILL THE WINTER RESIDENCE OF CENTRAL MONASTIC BODY. OVER NIGHT AT THIMPHU.

1. VISIT MEMORIAL CHORTEN BUILT IN 1974 TO HONOUR MEMORY OF LATE KING JIGME DORJI WANGCHUK, POPULARLY KNOWN AS THE FATHER OF MODERN BHUTAN. A MULTI-STORIED STUPA THAT WILL INTRODUCE YOU TO THE VITALITY OF TANTRIC BUDDHISM.
2. VISIT CHANG GANKHA MONASTERY (ONE OF THE OLDEST MONASTERY IN THE VALLEY)
3. VISIT NATIONAL ZOO WHERE ONE CAN SEE YAK AND TAKIN, THE NATIONAL WILD ANIMAL OF BHUTAN AND DRIVE UP TO VIEW POINT AND TAKE A HIKE BEYOND TO SEE THE CLEAR PICTURE OF THIMPHU VALLEY.

6. VISIT ARTS AND CRAFTS SCHOOL WHERE ONE CAN SEE YOUNG CHILDREN AT WORK ( ALSO KNOWN AS THE PAINTING SCHOOL ) , VISIT TRADITIONAL MEDICINE INSTITUTE WHERE THE ANCIENT HEALING ARTS ARE STILL PRACTICED.
7. OBSERVE TRADITIONAL PAPER MAKING FROM DAPHNIA AND EDGEWORTHIA SHRUB TO THE FINISHED PRODUCT AND PURCHASE SOME BEAU,TIFUL WRITING SETS FROM THE FACTORY.
8. DOWNTOWN THIMPHU ON FOOT VISITING HANDICRAFTS EMPORIUM AND OTHER ARTS & CRAFTS STORES. BUY STUNNING KIRAS WHICH CAN BE USED AS BED COVERS OR WALL DECORATION, JEWELLERIES AND MANY MORE.

AFTER SIGHT SEEING THIMPHU DRIVE TOWARDS PARO, VISIT TO TA DZONG A CIRCULAR FORTRESS THAT ONCE PROTECTED THIS VALLEY FROM THE TIBETAN INVASION. IT IS NOW NATIONAL MUSEUM WITH AN EXCELLENT COLLECTION OF BHUTANESE ANTIQUITIES. THEN WILL TAKE A SHORT DRIVE TO THE PARO RINPUNG DZONG WHICH WAS BUILT AND CONSECRATED IN 1646 BY ZHABDRUNG NGAWANGNAMGYAL. THIS DZONG IS ALSO THE ADMINISTRATIVE SEAT OF DISTRICT OF PARO AND IT ALSO CONTAINS A STATE MONASTIC COMMUNITY OF ABOUT 200 MEMBERS. AFTERNOON WILL DRIVE UP TO VISIT DRUGYEL DZONG WHICH IS LOCATED UPSTREAM TO THE END OF THE PAVED ROAD. AND THE WAY BACK FROM DRUGYELDZONG VISIT `TIGERS NEST `BASE CAMP &KICHU MONASTERY. THE EVENING ENDS WITH A WALK THROUGH THE PARO`S MAIN SHOPPING DISTRICT. THE LOCAL SHOPS SELL A VERITY OF GOODS- GROCERIES, TEXTILES AS WELL AS PRAYER FLAGS. OVERNIGHT PARO .

IN THE MORNING AFTER BREAKFAST DRIVE DOWN TO PHUNTSHOLING AND THEN DRIVE TOWARDS HASHIMARA / ALIPURDUAR. DROP TO HASHIMARA / ALIPUARDUAR AND TOUR END FOR THE DAY.

1. 90 days and above – 20% of tariff will be deducted 2. 60 days and less than 90 days – 30% of tariff will be deducted 3. 45 days and less than 60 days – 40% of tariff will be deducted 4. 30 days and less than 45 days – 50% of tariff will be deducted 5. 15 days and less than 30 days – 80% of tariff will be deducted 6. less than 15 days – no refund. 7. service charge is non refundable. During Peak Season vizDurgapuja to Kalipuja, 10th May to 10th June at Hill Stations and Christmas Holidays: 1. 120 days and above – 30% of tariff will be deducted
2. 60 days and less than 120 days – 50% of tariff will be deducted
3. less than 60 days – no refund.
4. service charge is non refundable.
Please note that cancellation policies differ from hotel to hotel and place to place and the above policies are in general. Any policies dictated by the particular hotel will always
supersede those stated above. In such case, the refund will made on whichever is lower basis.
No Cancellation request can be entertained over telephone and please note to submit your Booking Slip and Bill.
Rescheduling : Rescheduling is only possible after getting confirmation from the hotel and cannot be entertained during peak seasons. If rescheduling is not possible, GeneralCancellation policies will apply.
